MEYLE adds coil springs to its range of products
As of now workshops can perform a complete suspension and damping system repair exclusively with MEYLE parts – the spare parts manufacturer has complemented its product portfolio with a full range of coil springs covering virtually all leading vehicle applications
Hamburg, January 2011. Until recently coil springs just tended to gather dust. Today, however, their need for replacement is on a steady increase. This is why MEYLE has decided to expand its product range even further. MEYLE now also offers a wide range of high-quality coil springs covering more than 95% of the most popular makes and models, thereby enabling workshops to carry out complete suspension and damping system repairs with parts from one trusted source.
Coil springs in modern cars fail more frequently than they used to. Increased overall vehicle weight and bad road surfaces, along with lightweight designs and continuous product refinement to provide even better driver comfort, put exceedingly high strain on the springs. Ever increasing load levels on the materials used coupled with inconsistent wire diameters take their toll on coil spring life in modern vehicles. As a result, materials fatigue prematurely, eventually causing the part to break. It is only at this point that the motorist becomes aware of the problem. To enable workshops to meet all repair needs MEYLE has added a full range of coil springs to complement its shock absorbers product line.
The range includes cylindrical springs, mini-block springs and side-load-springs and covers 95% of all leading vehicle models. The springs are made from chrome silicon and chrome vanadium spring steel and are manufactured to comply with MEYLE’s uncompromising quality standards. Excellent anti-corrosion protection is ensured thanks to the zinc-phosphatised finish with additional powder coating. To eliminate potential weak points all MEYLE springs are designed with a constant wire diameter.
