New MEYLE-HD control arm replaces 3 original BMW parts

Hamburg/Frankfurt am Main, 11.09.2012.In the near future, independent garages will be getting more visits from drivers of the new BMW 5, 6, and 7 series models. The warranty period is just running out on these models and the original control arm in particular is beginning to show wear and tear. At the Automechanika trade fair 2012 Wulf Gaertner Autoparts presents a new MEYLE-HD control arm which can be fitted as a replacement in all three BMW series. So garages only need to stock one MEYLE version. And thanks to an improved construction, the MEYLE-HD control arm is also longer lasting than the original part.

The storage of spare parts ties up space and capital. In order to support garages in their day-to-day work, the engineers at Wulf Gaertner Autoparts have now developed a new control arm for the BMW 5, 6 and 7 series where one single version can be used in all three BMW models. Thanks to the smooth graduation adjustment of the ball joint, the control arm replaces three different versions of the original part. This enables the increasing demand for this spare part to be met easily and flexibly. Another service for the mechanics: not only the ball joint has been constructed so that it can be replaced individually, the reinforced bushing can also be exchanged on its own too. For proper

replacement of the bushing, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts recommends tool 617 68 050 by its cooperation partner SAUER Spezialwerkzeug.

To make the HD control arm from MEYLE more durable than the original version, the Hamburg spare parts manufacturer has technically optimised the part. The ball joint of the HD control arm has a high-grade corrosion coating and a ball cup made of abrasion-proof synthetic material to ensure a long lifespan. The MEYLE-HD control arm is made of high-grade aluminium in order to absorb all the forces acting between the chassis and the wheels – even with a dynamic driving style or when driving over potholes. All bearings used are made of full rubber with an enlarged profile cross-section. The suspension properties are adjusted to those of the original part, so that there is no noticeable loss of driving comfort.

The HD control arm is available for BMW models of the 5 series (F07, F10, F11), 6 series (F06, F12, F13) and 7 series (F0, F02, F04). As a result of the technical improvements over the original version, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts offers a 4-year warranty on the new MEYLE-HD part.
