MEYLE high-quality spare parts at Motortec

Hamburg, 1st March 2013. At the Motortec Automechanika Ibérica to be held in Madrid from March 13th to 16th, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG's Spanish subsidiary, MEYCAR, will be presenting the company's comprehensive portfolio of quality-tested spare parts, special focus will be on the latest additions to the MEYLE and MEYLE-HD product ranges. All product innovations are engineered by the company's in-house experts at its Hamburg base and originate from extensive research and development efforts undertaken with a single goal in mind: offering value-added solutions to help independent workshops win loyal customers and maximise repair efficiency.

A key strategic objective of Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG is to offer independent repair professionals quality-enhanced spare parts to help them gain a competitive edge over authorised repair businesses. By putting this strategy into action, the company's engineers have to date developed more than 650 products designed to outshine their OE counterparts in terms of durability and reliability for thousands of different vehicle applications. This is why all parts of the MEYLE-HD range come with a four-year warranty.

New MEYLE-HD bushing for VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda

As a tradefair highlight MEYCAR will be presenting the latest example of a quality-optimised HD part: the third-generation MEYLE-HD bushing for VW models. Using FEM calculations and dynamic component tests to scrutinise the original part Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG's experts have identified additional engineering potentials. For example, they have developed an entirely new rubber compound designed to reduce the material's inner stress, maximising part life and improving roadholding performance. The new MEYLE-HD bushing suits a wide variety of applications from VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda.

Universal MEYLE-HD control arm design to fit three BMW original parts

How MEYLE solutions help streamline day-to-day routine tasks is best exemplified by the MEYLE control arm for the BMW 5, 6 and 7 series. Thanks to the variably adjustable guiding suspension ball joint the HD control arm design replaces three different OE versions. The added extra for the workshop mechanic: On the re-engineered MEYLE part not only can the ball joint be replaced, the reinforced bushing can also be changed separately. To increase overall part life the ball joint of the HD control arm features an anti-corrosion coating and the socket is made from a highly wear-resistant plastic material.

New additions to the MEYLE Asia Line

The MEYLE-HD control arm for the Honda Civic VIII on display in Madrid, is also one of the parts redesigned by Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG's experts to outshine its OE counterpart. The ball head diameter has been increased to make the ball joint stronger and a more rugged rubber bushing design adds extra durability. This HD control arm is part of the MEYLE Asia Line. The new product line features repair solutions for the steering and suspension system, filters and brakes and covers almost 90 percent of all major Asian makes and models. Over the next two years, new spare parts from other product groups will be added to the existing range enabling the Hamburg manufacturer to cover virtually all popular Asian makes and models on the roads in Europe.

New MEYLE steering & suspension parts catalogue

Just in time for the Motortec show, the company has released the new MEYLE steering and suspension parts catalogue – the first update to come in two volumes. Supplied in a practical slipcase, this comprehensive catalogue is a must-have daily companion for car mechanics. On over 2,800 pages it details the company's complete range of steering and suspension parts featuring more than 3,400 products for over 230,000 applications. On every page true-to-detail product pictures complementing in-depth technical information illustrate the installation orientation of the respective part.
