MEYLE HD Brake Disc: Automechanika Innovation Award in the “Advanced Parts & Vehicle Technologies” category

The new MEYLE HD brake disc was honored with the Innovation Award in the “Advanced Parts & Vehicle Technologies” category at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026.

With this brake disc, MEYLE is applying the HD principle to the braking system for the first time, addressing the changing demands of modern vehicles. This is because mechanical brakes are used significantly less frequently, particularly in vehicles equipped with regenerative braking. This is precisely where the new development comes in: A laser-coated friction surface and improved long-term corrosion protection on both friction and non-friction surfaces ensure a solution tailored to these requirements.

The brake rotor is offered as a matched solution together with a MEYLE brake pad. It thus exemplifies what MEYLE HD is all about: questioning existing solutions, identifying new requirements early on, and specifically refining replacement parts.
