Defective shock absorbers are life-threatening!

Defective shock absorbers pose an enormous safety risk - which is why they must be replaced as soon as possible. The damage is noticeable through numerous, sometimes ambiguous symptoms - such as a "spongy" ride, unevenly worn tires or rumbling noises.

However, there are also very simple objective methods to diagnose shock absorber damage, such as the "bounce test". For professional workshops in particular, it makes sense to proactively check shock absorbers as part of their responsibility for the driving safety of their customers.
