MEYLE helps ‘Young Car Mechanic’ participants in eleven countries with advice and support
Not only is the field of car mechanics of great importance to MEYLE, but so are the mechanics themselves – for this reason, we specifically support young talent in their specialist area. After all, they are the ones who, through their sound skills, will ensure, in the future too, that vehicles can remain safely on the roads for a long time. As a reliable partner for all those who work with cars, in 2023 MEYLE again supported participants at the international ‘Young Car Mechanic’ vocational competition – not only as a sponsor, but also with advice and assistance.
Ultimately, it is all about the fascination of vehicle technology and strengthening the passion of young professionals. Experienced MEYLE trainers were present at the preliminary rounds in eleven European countries and also at the finals in Hungary and prepared the participants for tricky challenges. One of the tasks, for example, was to diagnose and correct a fault in an automatic transmission – often a difficult task even for experienced masters; however, the young professionals managed it. In total, 3,200 up-and-coming mechanics took part in the ‘Young Car Mechanic’ competition in 2023 – the vehicle elite of the future.
