MEYLE spare parts for trucks – advanced technology for significantly longer service life.
Commercial vehicles are subject to exceptionally high stress levels. They must carry heavy loads across long distances, meaning that they are almost continuously on the road. For this reason components should be serviced at regular intervals and wear-and-tear parts replaced to avoid long and costly downtimes.
Designed with durability in mind, MEYLE spare parts are an excellent choice for a wide variety of brands including MAN, Mercedes-Benz, DAF, Volvo, Scania, Renault and Iveco and also for bus and trailer applications.
Four podium places for tankpool24 racing team in Zolder
A total of 12,500 spectators attended the 6th round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship in Zolder this weekend. The tankpool24 Racing Team celebrated four podium places in Belgium. "It's still a bit early for a summary, but the races so far have shown that we are on the right track regarding the further development of our Mercedes Race Trucks and the corresponding technical support from MEYLE, as are we regarding the alignment of our team," says team boss Markus Bauer. Steffen Faas made it to the Grammer Cup podium three times. "It’s unlikely that anyone can take second place in the Grammer Cup away from him, and maybe he will even manage to win. Let's see what the next weekend at Le Mans brings us," says Bauer.
The first race on Saturday was very close right from the start. While Norbert Kiss was able to fight his way up successfully, he couldn't get close to the leading trio; eventually the tankpool24 driver had to settle for fourth place. His teammate Faas was less lucky: he had to park his truck halfway through the race. This meant his start position for the second race on Saturday was seventeenth. Faas fought his way up to 11th place and thus secured third place in the Grammer Cup. Teammate Kiss finished seventh.
Sunday was also exciting throughout: Kiss started from position five and fought strong battles with the Czech Adam Lacko and the MAN pilot Sascha Lenz. Despite the attacks, Kiss still finished in fifth position. After the race had finished, a penalty of 30 seconds caused the Hungarian to drop back to 12th place. At the last race of the weekend Kiss attacked again and fought his way up to fifth place. His team mate Faas also drove an excellent final race and reached eighth place, and victory in the Grammer Cup.
In the team classification the tankpool24-Racing-Team achieved a strong third place. “But our goal was actually to consolidate Norbert Kiss's 3rd place in the FIA Championships, now we are four points behind it," said Bauer and added with a smile: "But there are still 120 points for an individual pilot to pick up, so everything’s to play for."
The seventh round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship will take place on 29 and 30 September at the traditional Circuit Bugatti in Le Mans.
