Brake hydraulics – for a totally carefree package

Brake hoses, wheel cylinders, master brake cylinders – as brake experts, we provide our customers with a totally carefree brake package featuring brake hydraulics to round off the impressive portfolio of brake discs and pads, enabling our customers to source all of their brake components from the same place. Exposed to high pressure, brake hoses are close to the road and have to withstand moisture, heat, UV rays and mechanical stress. Faultless brake hoses are essential in order for the brake fluid to be reliably transported to the braking wheel under such pressure. We therefore stock more than 470 high-quality and quality-tested (FMVSS 106 and SAE J1401) brake hoses for over 9,000 different vehicle types.

In spite of their diminutive size, wheel cylinders have an important role to play in drum brakes or in the case of integrated parking brakes – they are singularly responsible for applying the brake shoes to the drum and for bringing the wheel to a standstill. As such, they too are one of the parts most relevant to vehicle safety. When replacing brake shoes or brake drums, MEYLE recommends that the wheel cylinder be replaced too. Conveniently, these already feature in our MEYLE ORIGINAL brake shoe kits.

The master brake cylinder is important both for drum and disc brakes. If this doesn’t work flawlessly, the build-up of pressure needed for the braking process cannot occur. To prevent this from happening, we offer parts which are absolutely on a par with OE in terms of quality here too.
