Antonio Albacete takes third place at the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2014

Hamburg, 13.10.2014. After finishing fifth at the 24 Heures Camions in France, Antonio Albacete claimed third place at the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2014, the European Professional Racing Series for Commercial Trucks. Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG has been supporting the team of the Spanish truck racing driver since the start of the 2014 season with its MEYLE brake discs and brake pads for commercial trucks.

The Spaniard Antonio Albacete achieved 377 points with his team over the series of nine races. This assured him third place in the final standings. “We would like to congratulate Antonio Albacete on this outstanding performance“, says Dr. Karl J. Gaertner, Board Chairman at Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG. Albacete drove a MAN TGA 18.480 in the races. This truck has more than 1,200 HP and accelerates from 60 to 160 km/h in under five seconds. The truck has to brake sharply especially going into curves: from 160 to just 40 to 50 km/h.
