Equip Auto 2013: MEYLE range of quality spares continues to grow

Hamburg/Paris, October 2013. At the Equip Auto, to be held in Paris from October 16th to 20th, MEYLE France will be presenting a full range of quality-tested MEYLE and MEYLE-HD spare parts. Among the showcased exhibits technically enhanced MEYLE-HD parts will be featured prominently on the company's stand. Designed to last longer than originals, customers have a four-year warranty on these parts. Just in time for the Paris trade fair additions to the range of repair solutions for French applications have been made, to include for example, new HD tie rod ends to fit Peugeot and Citroën models.

MEYLE France, the French subsidiary of Hamburg-based Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG, supplies the independent aftermarket with high-grade spare parts in OE-equivalent quality under the MEYLE brand name. The current product range, numbering some 17,000 items in total, covers virtually all leading applications.

MEYLE-HD parts – better than originals

To date, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG`s in-house engineers have devised more than 650 parts technically superior to their OE equivalents and covering thousands of different vehicle models. Branded MEYLE-HD, these parts outshine OEM designs in terms of durability and reliability, which is why the company gives an extended four-year warranty on the full MEYLE-HD range.

As a specialist in steering and suspension technology the company will be exhibiting performance-enhanced MEYLE-HD ball joints featuring a newly formulated material design. Using a wear-resistant polymeric material for the plastic socket has helped to considerably increase overall strength of the ball and socket joint. Other enhancements include a special heavy-duty grease which significantly reduces wear and tear while preventing corrosion and early joint failure. At the Paris trade fair the Hamburg manufacturer will also be exhibiting many more technically enhanced products including the MEYLE-HD stabiliser link, the MEYLE-HD control arm for BMW 5, 6 and 7 Series models and the reinforced MEYLE-HD tie rod end for DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes Benz, R.V.I. and Scania applications.

MEYLE France supplies a wide range of MEYLE-HD parts for French makes, and now also offers repair solutions for Peugeot and Citroën models. The tie rod end is an easy-wearing component on these vehicles. This is why Wulf Gaertner Autoparts's engineers have redesigned the part with a larger ball head diameter to reduce overall surface pressure. In combination with high-grade low-wear materials part life has been significantly increased.

New additions to the MEYLE Asia Line

To help workshops source as many spare parts as possible from a single supplier, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG has continually been adding new repair solutions for popular vehicle brands. At the Paris Equip Auto exhibition the company will be presenting a selection from its MEYLE Asia Line, providing customers with field-proven top-grade MEYLE and MEYLE-HD parts covering virtually all applications from leading vehicle manufacturers including Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Mazda, Honda, etc. The company already supplies a full range of brake discs, brake pads and filters.

Quality-tested brake parts

In Paris, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts will also be displaying its comprehensive range of quality-tested brake discs, pads and brake system components. Compared with conventional brake discs, the MEYLE PD brake disc is designed with a special zinc-flake coating to provide optimal anti-corrosion protection. The special cross-hatch finish ensures fast breaking in. Supplied ready to be installed without any need for degreasing, the MEYLE disc spares mechanics some extra work in the installation process.

Even swifter deliveries to French customers

The French market is of particular importance to Wulf Gaertner Autoparts. All-round service and swift deliveries is guaranteed thanks to the company's local subsidiary and logistic hubs located throughout France. At Wulf Gaertner Autoparts's central facility in Hamburg construction work to expand the company's logistics centre by 12,000 sqm to a total of 29,000 sqm has recently been completed, providing the space required to accommodate a growing product range while meeting ever more demanding customer requirements for immediate part availability. This will enable the company to keep larger inventories of its products and ship them faster thanks to more efficient and streamlined processes.
